La Pizza di Paolo&Rosetta is a delightful pizza takeaway gem nestled in the charming Piazza Corrubbio in Verona. This spot offers an authentic taste of Italian pizza in a casual, inviting setting that captivates locals and visitors alike. What sets La Pizza di Paolo&Rosetta apart is its creative approach to classic pizza—using a thick, airy Sicilian-style sourdough base that perfectly balances a crunchy crust with a light, fluffy interior.
Here, every slice is a carefully crafted masterpiece packed with bold, umami-rich toppings like anchovies, capers, and olives, delivering an explosion of flavors that awaken your palate. The unique buffet-style service allows you to mix and match focaccia slices adorned with a vibrant variety of pizza toppings, making it easy to satisfy any craving. Paying by weight is a flexible and fair way to enjoy as much (or as little) as you want without worry.
The atmosphere of La Pizza di Paolo&Rosetta is distinctly warm and informal, making it the perfect spot to unwind after exploring Verona. It’s located on a quiet piazza free from traffic, with pleasant outdoor seating where you can soak up the gentle evening air. Guests often praise the friendly and patient staff who speak excellent English and are genuinely welcoming, making the experience comfortable and enjoyable even for those unfamiliar with Italian.
Customers often highlight the unbeatable combination of quality, affordability, and generous portions. As Aidan Poynter reminisces, the Aperol spritz here is as generous as the pizza slices, creating an inviting and lively evening scene. Claire s perfectly sums up the experience with a simple yet heartfelt “excellent” focaccia type pizza paired with a spritz, all at incredibly reasonable prices.
Whether you’re after a casual bite or a relaxed evening with friends, La Pizza di Paolo&Rosetta serves up a memorable taste of Verona with each crispy, flavorful slice. For anyone passionate about authentic, innovative pizza in a laid-back setting, this takeaway is an absolute must-visit that consistently draws rave reviews and warm smiles.

Stumbled across this place walking into Verona for the first time and loved it. Nice pizza, very cheap and generous aperol spritz and a lovely atmosphere in the evening.

It's a sort of buffet where you choose a mixture of foccacio slices with pizza toppings and a drink to wash it down. The food wash great! Crispy and hot.

This is the place to hang out in the evening. It's very informal, they get really creative with the pizzas so you can't get bored and the people who run this place are really nice!

Excellent pizza restaurant, many different varieties, pay by weight. Sicillian-type pizza with a thick airy base and crunchy crust. I suspect they use sour dough... Many unami flavours with anchovies, capers and olives. Nice ambiance on the quiet square (no cars), outside seating. Definitely one of the best pizza places in town.

Excellent (focaccia type) pizza with a good variety of tasty toppings. A square and a spritz was each E8,20, so well priced. We sat outside and had an enjoyable rest stop.

The pizza is great and sold by the Kilo. The owners and staff were very kind and patient and we were able to communicate with my terrible Italian and their very good English. :) We have been several times in the past month and will be back many times before we leave Verona.
